The SCOTTY Mobile Secure Link - a smart and convenient solution for encrypted communication from the field.

The SCOTTY Mobile Secure Link (SMSL) solves the main challenges facing military communicators: poor reliability and extended deployment time. SCOTTY now offers a solution that solves these problems. The SMSL improves reliability by reducing the amount of external cabling, and comes with its own transport case and cabling. Deployment time is significantly reduced with a pre-wired setup and self-contained components.

The SMSL provides encryption connectivity in one ruggedized case. It is pre-wired, ready to use and contains: a “plug and play” encryption bay for either a KIV-7HS or an OMNIxi; optional ADTRAN™ KIV-19A; and a SCOTTY I-Split for use with two Inmarsat GAN terminals providing data rates of 64kb/s and 128kb/s. The SMSL is an ideal complement to the SCOTTY Mobile, from which it is powered.

A complete secure video communication package can now be set up in the field by one person in no time. The SMSL and SCOTTY Mobile video communications unit may be hand carried and the satellite terminal may be carried in a backpack.
