SCOTTY has extensive experience in fulfilling the needs of Armed Forces, especially in the field of interoperability with encryption devices. For example, SCOTTY has customized or tested compatibility with the following encryption units:
- BID 950 - widely used within NATO for videoconferencing applications. SCOTTY has a BID950 application allowing 64 kbit/s and 2 x 64 kbit/s (two BID950 in parallel) calls.
- KIV-7, STE, KG-84, TACLANE - KG-175, etc. - SCOTTY utilises the universal serial interface to handle these devices without hardware or software changes.
- BRENT - this encryption unit is widely in use within the UK Army. SCOTTY has an application supporting 64 and 2 x 64 kbit/s calls via the X.21 data ports of the unit.
- EBIT 3-2 - SCOTTY has extensive experience using this synchronous encryption unit for various applications.
- Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) tested and accepted.
